Cultivating tradition for years is nowadays quite a challenge. But not for local communities from Cusco region, from Quehue district. Four of them meet each year for few days to rebuild Inca bridge from the scratch. The construction details are being passed from generation to generation. Everything in order to keep exactly the same style and use the same materials like 500 years ago Incas did. Thanks to this beautiful tradition and strong will of local people, we can see Inca technique till today.
New bridge is ready each year in the second part of June. You can walk on it to cross Apurimac river all year round. More about Qeswachaca bridge on our blog here.
After day full of attractions around 4:00 pm we will start driving back to Cusco in beautiful mountain scenery. Driving time around 3.5 hours.
