We will start at 4:00 am from Cusco. After 3.5h drive by car and a short break, we will start trekking towards Base Camp. Ausangate peak looms in the distance for the whole trip providing different perspectives on its majesty. Throughout the day we will walk through a few small villages, where we will marvel at the alpacas and the mountain landscapes. We will have lunch with a view of Cordillera Vilcanota.
All along the way are the many lakes which are a part of what make the Peruvian Andes so beautiful.
Around 6:00 pm we will start driving back and will be back in Cusco 9:00 – 10:00 pm. In order to cover whole trek within one day private transport is necessary.
There is also an option to combine this trek with our great offer Rainbow Mountains and Incas bridge Qeswachaka. In this option we do not go back to Cusco, but instead stay on the road which allows us to save many hours. This extra time can be used for other attractions.
