This trip is for people who:
A trip to the Ausangate region is around 4000 – 5000 m. above sea level. You need to remember that it is much colder here and temperatures during the night drops below zero. Between May and August temperatures can drop to -15 degrees. You need to be well prepared for trekking in this area.
In order to be better aclimitized, before starting the main section of the trip, we will stay at a local house in Tinki village. It will be an opportunity to get to know a local, Andean village and to eat meals with a local family. You will have a chance to see how people live in this part of the country,and to see local folklore in its full glory. Travel time by car from Cusco – Tinka – 4 hours. We will leave Cusco at 5:00 pm.

We will eat lunch in the surroundings ofo snow peaks, alpacas around us as well as the highest mountain in the region, Ausangate. Today’s trekking will take around 7 – 8 hours. We will camp at 4800 m. above sea level.
We will head out around 5:30 am after breakfast at a local house in Tinki. Trekking will start in Pacchanta village. Throughout much of our hike, Ausangate peak, will remain in view. We will pass through many small villages, and see alpacas in their natural environment, Lunch will take place in a spot with a great view of Cordillera Vilcanota.
Throughout the whole day many lakes will come into our view, which is an element that makes the Peruvian Andes more beautiful.

Another set of snowy peaks, alpacas, and getting close to the colorful mountain range.

This is a special section of the trek because you get to see Vinicunca mountain early in the morning. You will have it mostly to yourself and will have an incredible view. Especially as the sun rises around the peaks of the mountains.
This is not the only attraction on this day. Next part of the trek, after colorful ranges, will go through slightly different landscapes. All mountains around this area are red, which is the origin of their name, the Red Valley.
After this day full of attractions we will drive from one end of the valley to Cusco. If time allows, we will stop by in Pitumarca to visit more local ruins.
