Prices in Peru – entrance tickets cost in Lima, capital of Peru
La Iglesia y Convento San Francisco
If I were to choose on attraction to see in Plaza Major area in Lima (old town) then I would go with this place. It contains many interesting things, which can be explained in very amusing way by local guides. You will see here big cemetery located under the ground and famous painting of the “The Last Supper” with guinea pig. Ticket price is around 10 sols, which is around 2.5 USD and tour guide is included in the price.
La Basílica Catedral de Lima i Museo Palacio Arzobispal de Lima
Those are two separate attractions which can be visited together or separately. Entrance to the cathedral is only 10 sols, which is 2.5 USD. But if you want to see archbishop’s palace, then you need to spend 30 sols. If you are not big fun of sacral art, you can skip the palace. In both cases you can use local guide (tip only).
La Basílica y Convento de Santo Domingo
Somebody who does not want to spend any money for sightseeing, can see Santo Domingo church which is for free. For monastery entrance you need to pay 5 sols, which is not more than 2 USD.

Museo de oro
This is one of the most expensive attractions in Lima. Apart from ticket cost – 33 sols, 10 USD, there will be additional cost connected with getting there. There is no point to come here by public transportation, because it will take forever. It is worth to take a cab. I do not recommend sightseeing this place without the guide. Museum does not have such option, so you need to bring him with you. You can read more about my visit at this museum in article Watch out! Gold museum in Lima is not for everyone.
