Can you leave your luggage at Lima airport?
Yes, at Lima airport you can leave your luggage without any problems. Luggage storage is open 24 hours. Price for 1 suitcase/backpack is 32 sols per day. If you want to store luggage for only few hours, then it is 5.5 sols per hour.
What is time difference between Peru and Poland?
There is not time switch in Peru. That is why during winter time in Poland we have 6 hour difference and during summer time we have 7 hours.
Are tips obligatory in Peru?
Tips are well known in Peru. There is no percentage value describing how high tip should be, but is welcome. Peruvians are simply used to tipping system.
What are the best buses to travel in Peru?
There are different companies covering different routes. The biggest amount of directions in by Cruz Del Sur. Other are: Tepsa, Movil Tours, Oltursa.
Are 2 days enough for sightseeing Machu Picchu together with transfer?
Road to Machu Picchu takes some time. First you need to arrive in Cusc. From here there are many options and ways of transportation towards Machu Picchu. Sightseeing ruins itself takes around 7 – 8 hours. Adding transport on top of that (minimum 4 hours one way, in total 8 hours), 2 days should be enough. But we are talking here about situation where you have arrived in Cusco not later than in afternoon. You cannot assume that you will leave Cusco the second day as well. If you plan to leave Cusco the second day then you will have only 3 hours for sightseeing Machu Picchu. And this is not enough for such gigantic ruins, but of course double.
As a photographer, should I take professional equipment or better something small?
Peru is a beautiful country for photography and in many places you can take pictures with good quality equipment without worrying that somebody will steal it. But there are also such locations where it is not better to show up with expensive camera. There is not right answer here. It is good to always consult this with local people or company that is arranging the trip for you. On organized trips with private transportation where you visit small villages, there is nothing to worry about. Another case is when you travel on your own, especially on the coast. Lima for example is such place. It is good to have eyes wide open in big cities, at the bus stops, in crowdy places or local markets.
Are there lockers in hostels or hotels in Peru?
Yes, definitely you can find lockers in hotels/hostels in Peru. Another option is luggage storage. Usually there are for free and safe. But I do not recommend leaving your things for longer amount of time, especially in those cheaper places. There is bigger risk that you things might disappear.
Can I get yellow fever vaccination in Peru?
Vaccinations topic is very personal case. Everything depends on our body and its ability to react well on vaccination. Before taking them it is worth to consult it with the doctor.
As for yellow fever vaccination, they are available in Peru. For example in Cusco you can arrange this in Regional Hospital at Avenida Cultura on some days and it cost is only 20 sols, around 20 USD. This is price for foreigners. For local people this is for free.
